HISTORY OF BENG
Fall, 2008 - Pooja Umesh starts BENG with members of her Senior Design Group.
April, 2009 - Joel-Anthony Gray elected President of BENG (still currently acting)
May 20, 2009 - Website and logo developed by Joel-Anthony Gray, President.
May 21, 2009 - BioDFW Meeting @ UTSW attended. Met with Dr. Donald Hicks, the UTD BioDFW liason and Dr. Earl Tibbels.
May 26. 2009 - Submitted Human Physiology Signals Lab proposal to Dr. Tamil.
Jan 2010 - 1st Vernier order placed for Biomed Equipment
March 31, 2010 - Fascinating talk on Biosensors given by Dr. Walter Hu
Sept 2010 - General public meeting demonstrating the Vernier equipment and biosensors
Oct 2010 - Submitted revised lab proposal for possible IAB review and the new Bioengineering Dept
Dec 3, 2010 - Talk given on nanobots in biomedical applications
Dec 2010 - 2nd Vernier order placed for Biomed equipment - now external activation of devices based on sensed signals is possible
